Home » Important Changes to NCSC’s Mail Check Program
By Cian Fitzpatrick | 11th March 2025
The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has announced significant changes to its Mail Check program, impacting how UK organizations manage email security. Starting March 24, 2025, the NCSC will discontinue DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) Aggregate Reporting, DMARC Insights, and related TLS Reporting. This decision comes as part of the NCSC’s efforts to scale Mail Check for more organizations while reducing costs and complexity.
DMARC Aggregate Reporting plays a critical role in monitoring email security by providing insights into domain abuse, email authentication success, and possible configuration issues. With the NCSC’s Mail Check tool no longer offering this service, domain owners will lose vital visibility into unauthorized attempts to use their domain for malicious activities such as spoofing. The NCSC encourages organisations to transition to alternate DMARC tools to maintain visibility and control of their internet domains.
Topsec Cloud Solutions offers a comprehensive, automated and managed DMARC management platform that can seamlessly fill the gap left by the NCSC’s decision. For over three years, Topsec has been helping organizations in both the public and private sectors secure their email domains.
